Day 1: Bangalore/ Coimbatore Arrival – Ooty (271 kms, 6hrs/ 86 kms, 3hrs)
After arrival our representative will greet you and drive you to Ooty. Ooty is one of the most popular hill stations in South India. While driving you can explore the beauty of Nilgiris all the way to Ooty.
While traveling to Ooty , we will go via Bandipur & Mudumalai. Reaching Ooty, check into pre pre-booked hotel. After taking 1 to 2 hours rest, proceed for sightseeing in Ooty. Set out to visit Doddabetta Peak, Tea Gardens, Ooty Lake, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden.
Bandipur National Park
Bandipur National Park has the second highest Tiger population in India. The park is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve making it the largest protected area in Southern India and the largest habitat of wild elephants in South Asia. Bandipur National Park shares its boundary with 3 other National parks namely, Nagarahole National Park, Wayanad National Park and Mudumalai National park.
Mudumalai National Park
Mudumalai National Park is a National Park in the Nilgiri Mountains in Tamil Nadu in southern India. It covers 321 km2 (124 sq mi) at an elevation range of 850–1,250 m (2,790–4,100 ft) in the Nilgiri District and shares boundaries with the states of Karnataka and Kerala. The national park has been a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve since 1986 and was declared a tiger reserve together with a buffer zone of 367.59 km2 (141.93 sq mi) in 2007. It receives an annual rainfall of about 1,420 mm (56 in) and harbors tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests with 498 plant species, at least 266 bird species, 18 carnivore and 10 herbivore species. It is drained by the Moyar River and several tributaries, which harbor 38 fish species.
Day 2: Ooty – Coonoor – Ooty
Morning after breakfast, start driving to Coonoor, another interesting destination in Nilgiris. Tea is cultivated in this region. On arrival visit the famous Sims Park – a beautiful garden.Later visit other sightseeing like Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin House. Later visit High Field factory – gain knowledge about the history of Tea, its cultivation, processing etc. In the evening, enjoy a mountain train ride also called Toy Train ride from Coonoor to Ooty. Overnight stay at Ooty.
Day 3: Ooty – Local sightseeing
After breakfast, set out to visit Ooty Chocolate Factory, Pykara Lake – Waterfalls & Dam, Emerald Lake & Needle Rock View Point. Return to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Ooty.
Day 4: Ooty – Kodaikanal (249 kms, 7 hrs)
After breakfast we will drive towards Kodaikanal. It’s a long drive today. You will be transferred from one hill station to the other. After reaching Kodaikanal check into the hotel. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal Hotel.
Day 5: Kodaikanal Sightseeing
After breakfast, I set out for Kodaikanal sightseeing. Visit the various viewpoints, Coackers walk, enjoy walking into the pine forest, Guna caves, in the evening enjoy Boat ride at Kodai lake. We can also visit Pillars Rock, Vattakanal Waterfalls. Evening return to hotel. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal hotel.
Day 6: Kodaikanal – Coimbatore Departure (175 kms, 5hrs)
After breakfast our representative will meet you and we will drive to Coimbatore. After reaching Coimbatore you will be transferred to the Airport/ Railway station for your journey onwards.
