Day 2
Kaziranga to Shilong (253 km, 5 hrs 30 min)
Early morning, safari at Kaziranga National Park (Cost not included) and return to Hotel. Have your breakfast and proceed for Shilong. Reach Shilong in the afternoon. Check into Shilong Hotel. Evening is free for roaming around Police Bazar for Shopping. Overnight stay at Shilong Hotel.
Day 3
Shilong Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for Shilong local sightseeing. Shilong is also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’ is the capital city of Meghalaya. Visit Ward’s Lake located at the heart of the city which is popular for its garden walks and boating, Lady Hydari Park, Cathedral Church, and Don Bosco Museum. Overnight Stay at Shilong.
Day 4
Shilong to Cherrapunjee (54 km, 2 hrs)
Today after breakfast, we will drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on earth, enroute we will see Elephant falls, Shilong Peak (Subjected to permission by Indian Airforce), visit Nokalikai Falls, Mawsimai cave, Monolith Park, Seven sisters’ falls. In the evening return to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee Hotel.
Day 5
Cherrapunjee to Shilong via Dawki & Mawlynnong
After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in the world. You can take the sky walk. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge.
After lunch, drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. It is a splendid drive of 45 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot River, The Umngot River is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which a single span suspension bridge was constructed. Day 6
Shilong to Guwahati via Umium Lake
Today after breakfast, proceed towards Umium Lake also known as Barapani, surrounded by coniferous forests and stretching over an area of about 221 square kilometers which is four times the size of San Marino or Bermuda.
